Who we are
We are a team of passionate travelers with an insatiable curiosity for learning about and understanding the world, and the relationships between its natural environments, its human history and how they have shaped cultures, especially in the Mediterranean.
About the Founders
We are Katy and Gabriele, an American writer and classic culture enthusiast and an Italian evolutionary biologist and geographer, respectively, but, first of all, born explorers whose curiosity led us independently to some of the most remote places around the world. Since our paths crossed on a Greek island in 2014, we have traveled extensively together and we have now more than 45 countries on 5 continents under our belts.
But it is the Mediterranean basin that captures our interest like no other and where we can’t stop returning.
We now seek to share our unique expertise and knowledge of this region of the world with like-minded travelers looking for top quality and authentic experiences.
The Team
Today we are a strong team of experts who bring diverse skills and deep knowledge of a wide range of topics, coming from both our academic backgrounds as well as professional and lived experiences, especially regarding our Mediterranean destinations. Included among our areas of expertise are: natural and environmental sciences, ecology and biology, climatology, physical and human geography, cultural anthropology, history, art history, literature, Classics, music and philosophy.
